 Workshops Descriptions:

1. Mark Reinhart:

Mark R. Reinhart has been a practitioner of the energetics for close to 60 years. He has extensive and ongoing training in all aspects of both Classical and Tradition Chinese Medicine including the philosophical, spiritual, metaphysical and martial traditions. Mark is a practitioner, teacher and student of numerous styles and systems of Qigong and Taijiquan. A Professional Member of the National Qigong Association (NQA) since 2006, Mark served on the Board of Directors for 7 years, sat as NQA President for 4 years and is current serving on the Advisory Council of the NQA.

2. Lorelei Chang This workshop offers an insightful way to connect mind, body, and spirit with breath, brush, and movement. Using her unique skills, Lorelei combines the art form of Chinese Calligraphy, ancient Qigong breath work, and flowing movement in this workshop. Lorelei “threads” Qigong movement with brush work together to help students understand the pattern of the movement as well as intricate brush stroke on paper. 

Lorelei Chang is renowned modern dance artist, Qigong teacher, and a Chinese calligrapher who has  dedicated her life time to study these disciplines for nearly 40 years. Lorelei and her twin sister, Mai Nakanishi are world-class artists who pioneered combining Chinese calligraphy and modern dance with Qigong. They have performed internationally including China, Japan, New Zealand, Belgium, and South Korea during the 2018 Winter Olympic. In 2012, she won a gold medal for the 24-form Taiji Quan and a silver medal for 42-form Taiji Quan during the International Wushu Competition in Connecticut. She is the founder and artistic director of DanceEnlight and a board member of the National Qigong Association. Lorelei has taught at the National Qigong Association’s annual conferences, Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and Omega Institute For Holistic Studies. Lorelei is a certified instructor of Radiant Lotus Women’s Qigong founded by Daisy Lee. Lorelei studied Traditional Chinese Medicine with Lonny Jarrett. She graduated three years program on Five Element meridian Shiatsu with Nini Melvin and thrilled to open her Shiatsu practice.dancenlight.org

Enrichment program: Qi experience dance performance by Lorelei Chang

The movements of Qi between heaven and earth have created thousand things in life. The sun, moon and star, heaven, earth and humanity. The Yin of the earth and Yang of the heaven are constantly interacting, giving and receiving, but never separating from each other. Lorelei expresses this very idea with her beautiful Qi dance performance.
