Roger Blough holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from The Ohio State University. He served three years as an assistant professor at the University of Dayton. He spent 25 years as an intelligence analyst. Dr. Blough began his study of Tai Chi at Qi Elements in 1994 under the tutelage of former Director of Qi Elements, Shifu Nancy Bloomfield, a student of Shifu Liu, Chao Chi. In 1995 Shifu Bloomfield introduced Dr. Blough to Grand Master Yang, Jwing Ming, then of Boston, MA. Dr. Blough has studied Qigong and applications of Yang Style Taiji with Grand Master Yang since 1995 in Boston and at the YMAA Retreat Center in Miranda, CA,and at Yang Heights in McKinleyville CA, earning certification as an Assistant Instructor of YMAA Qigong in 2005 and as a Full Instructor in 2010. Dr Blough has also completed seminars in Yang Style Taijiquan form from Masters Yang, Zhenduo; Yang, Jun; and Dr. Yang, Yang.
Classes & Services
Roger Blough and Qi Elements offer group, private, and on-line instruction in Tai Chi and Qigong. He specializes in Yang Style Tai Chi, both the Yang Family long form and the YMAA long form, the applications of Tai Chi martial art, and the internal aspects of Tai Chi including Qi cultivation and Qi circulation. He teaches other Qigong, including YMAA Qigong--Tai Chi Ball, Four Seasons, Tai Chi Qigong, Five Animal Sports, Eight Pieces of Brocade, White Crane Soft Qigong.
