Qigong 12 Meridian Form with Janet Seaforth

<- Return to Library

In this video, Janet Seaforth demonstrates her adaptation of the Qigong 12 Meridian Form, a practice she originally learned from Matthew Swiegart at the 2012 National Qigong Association Conference. Having received permission to teach and reference the form in her book, Little Book of Qi: Energy for Life, Janet has incorporated it into her teaching for many years as a practical way to help students understand and experience the body's meridian system.

The form uses gentle, flowing movements to engage the twelve primary meridians associated with the body's major organ systems. Through movement, breath, and focused awareness, practitioners are invited to explore the pathways of qi throughout the body while promoting relaxation, circulation, flexibility, and energetic balance.

Presented in Janet's own teaching style, this practice offers an accessible way to connect meridian theory with direct experience, making it valuable for both newer and experienced Qigong practitioners.
