(Please Note: This special panel will be 90 minutes, instead of the usual 60 minutes)
Join us for an inspiring online event that brings together Qigong teachers and military veterans in a heartfelt discussion about healing, resilience, and transformation. “A Shared Journey of Qigong and Veterans’ Recovery” explores how the ancient practice of Qigong has become a powerful pathway toward recovery from trauma, chronic pain, and the challenges of post-service life.
This panel features veterans who have experienced firsthand the restorative effects of Qigong and the teachers who have guided them on their journey. Together, they will share personal stories of growth, healing, and renewed purpose—revealing how mind-body practice can bridge the gap between physical well-being and emotional balance.
Participants will gain insights into:
• The role of Qigong in managing PTSD, anxiety, and chronic pain
• How energy cultivation supports mental clarity and emotional regulation
• Real-life examples of Qigong’s integration within the Veterans Health Administration and the Community Care Network
• Practical ways to begin or deepen your own Qigong practice for self-care and recovery
This event celebrates the strength of community, the power of shared experience, and the enduring connection between breath, movement, and healing. Whether you are a veteran, a healthcare provider, a Qigong practitioner, or simply curious about the practice, you will leave with a renewed sense of inspiration and hope.

Clayton Crosley currently resides in Savannah, Georgia, where his dedication to Qigong continues to inspire both practitioners and healthcare professionals. Introduced to Qigong more than 35 years ago through his martial arts practice, Clayton has since devoted his life to sharing its therapeutic benefits with others.
For over a decade, he has volunteered with the Veterans Health Administration, contributing more than 2,000 hours of service by offering weekly Qigong classes for veterans. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Clayton transitioned his work to an online platform to ensure continuity of care - an approach that has since been adopted by multiple VA Medical Centers across the country.
Today, Clayton serves as a VA Community Care Network (VACCN) provider, working in collaboration with VA physicians to deliver Complementary and Integrative Health (CIH) services. In addition to teaching veterans, he also works closely with VA staff, offering education in the healing principles of Qigong and mentoring other instructors who provide care through the network. His vision is to see the largest healthcare system in the world embrace Qigong as a respected therapeutic modality. This continues to fuel his purpose and drive.

Chris Bouguyon is a martial artist, veteran, and wellness educator whose personal journey from trauma to healing has shaped his life’s mission: helping others discover strength through self-awareness. He began training in martial arts in 1978 as a means of self-protection, navigating the lasting effects of trauma and PTSD. Years of full-contact fighting and military service taught him survival—but it was Tai Chi and Qigong that taught him healing.
Introduced to these internal arts in 1991, Chris found a new kind of power—one rooted in stillness, structure, and self-trust. Through dedicated practice, he learned to manage chronic pain and transform deeply held emotional wounds. This journey continues to fuel his passion for teaching.
Chris brings decades of experience, deep empathy, and personal insight to his work with students and clients. His unique approach integrates physical training with emotional resilience, guiding others to listen inward and unlock their own capacity for healing. He calls this path “Heart Work”—and it is, without question, his life’s calling. https://www.simplyaware.com/

Judy Chancey’s journey into Chinese healing arts began in 2005 when she discovered Tai Chi Chih and felt a soothing calm that had been missing for the first fifty years of her life. That initial experience opened the door to deeper study, which led her into Qigong in 2020 with John Munro.
With a lifetime that included PTSD igniting experiences from early childhood family abuse to personal and financial losses and even enduring the devastation of Hurricane Andrew, Judy brings compassion, empathy, and understanding into her work as a VA Community Care Provider. Through breath awareness, she learned how to unite Heaven and Earth, and restore the mind-body connection within herself. Since 2019 she has had the blessing and honor to share these tools with more than 150 veterans. Judy believes breath is the greatest gift ever bestowed on mankind because it is essential for mind-body reunification and a foundation for lasting healing.
